Job Description - We are seeking a results-driven Plant Superintendent to oversee daily operations at our Barnesville flour milling facility. This leadership role ensures efficient production, safety compliance, and team development while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of mill operations, including production, maintenance, sanitation, and safety
- Supervise and develop mill personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Supervise and develop Maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Manage the Maintenance Department, Work Orders, and Equipment/Parts inventory
- Manage the Process Safety Management Program and Environmental compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SQF standards, OSHA regulations, and other applicable guidelines
- Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Supply Chain teams to meet customer specifications and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and personnel activities
- Manage capital projects and equipment upgrades as needed
- All other duties as assigned
- Compensation for this role will be based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and overall fit for the position.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Milling Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in flour milling with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of milling equipment, processes, and safety protocols
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs as required
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a Head Miller role or equivalent
- Experience in project planning and execution
