The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. This role is responsible for supervising production staff, coordinating workflow, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members to meet daily targets. Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as needed to ensure on-time delivery. Ensure all employees adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures. Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff; conduct regular performance reviews. Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, and engineering departments to resolve production issues. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles where appropriate. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support inventory control and material handling activities. Manage employee attendance and coordinate shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels. Participate in employee onboarding training and support adaptation to the workplace. Conduct routine floor inspections and lead proactive safety measures to prevent workplace hazards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Good understanding of production machinery, tools, and quality control processes. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Proficient with MS Office and experience with ERP or production software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
