Night Production Supervisor Commercial Printer Walton Press Inc , is a well-established Commercial Printing and Manufacturing Company with over a century of experience, located in Monroe, Georgia, is seeking a Night Production Supervisor. Walton Press offers printing services, including high quality printing in Heat-set and Cold-set and Sheetfed processes, Full service binding, inserting, mailing, and website maintenance, for community magazines, specialty market magazines, business to business magazines, tabloids, trade newspapers, directories and other publications in the servicing of our domestic and off-shore clients. Walton Press also provides other specialty products such as foil stamping, embossing, tabs, magnets, poly-bagging, and other specialty options. About the Night Production Supervisor Commercial Printer Job The Night Production Supervisor is a working Supervisor position , responsible for supervising all activities related to providing a Safe work environment for employees. This role oversees the Printing, Bindery, and Shipping operations during evening shifts and is further responsible for quality, communications and adhering to production deadlines. Job Description-Night Production Supervisor Commercial Printer Responsible for first-line direction of employees involved in Pre-Press, Press, Bindery, Maintenance, and Shipping operations with their main focus on Bindery . Reviews production schedules, material, and labor resources. Assigns employees to meet quality expectations and maximize production objectives to attain output requirements. Informs assigned employees of production and material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve problems affecting schedules. Ensure staff is trained and practices safe work habits when operating equipment. Resolve quality and production issues that arise and keep management informed of issues. Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures. Maintain a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Night Production Manager Commercial Printer Excellent communication skills Ability to read and understand job tickets, work order specifications, and production equipment Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Strong attention to detail Work successfully in both a team environment and independently Ability to successfully manage the department's function and its employees
- Strong Supervisory skills with initiative to motivate, train and encourage staff
- Good working knowledge of Cold Set and Heat Set Web Presses, Bindery, and Shipping processes.
- Ability to handle a fast-pace environment with changing demands and competing priorities with a sense of urgency.
