A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.

PURPOSE Performs all administrative duties required to convert engineering data into shop fabrication data to communicate to the production line what needs to be manufactured.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all clerical tasks associated with releasing a job into the shop. This includes c reating applicable cut lists, bunking lists, fabrication drawings and electronic files necessary to operate the shop floor and the computerized manufacturing equipment. Creates job folders. Generates the shop drawings. Groups the shop drawings by work center. Batches jobs and creates cutting reports. Simultaneously creates the automated saw files and projection fabrication files. Releases job to production team. Updates scheduling status. Edits work order in On-Line Software for shop labor totals. Retrieves built information from shop after fabrication. Closes production files. Performs any other routine tasks associated with the production department. Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 18 months of truss fabrication experience.COMPETENCIES
Communication- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with both Shop employees and the Production Management Team. Technical Skills

- Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
