CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the daily operation of the Welding Department to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives. Lead and develop supervisors and production associates through coaching, accountability, and performance management. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures. Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and efficiency. Coordinate staffing, labor utilization, and production schedules to meet customer requirements. Investigate quality, safety, and production issues and lead root cause and corrective action activities. Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, waste reduction, standardized work, and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Production Control, and Materials to resolve operational issues. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and associate development. Prepare and review production reports, KPIs, and department performance metrics. Promote a clean, organized, and safe workplace through 5S and good housekeeping practices. Serve as acting Weld Manager during planned or unplanned absences. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Three (3) to five (5) years of manufacturing leadership experience. Experience supervising production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Preferred Automotive manufacturing experience. Robotic welding experience. Lean Manufacturing experience.
