Monitor the volume and quality of production output and adjust tasks, timing, equipment setup, or inputs to ensure production specifications are met and resources are used efficiently. Communicate production and material issues to assigned employees and coordinate with support teams to resolve problems affecting production schedules. Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes to materials, equipment, and procedures. Maintain reports, records, and production documentation related to schedules, performance, and operating methods. Supervise staff to ensure production tasks are completed and all machines and equipment are operated safely. Train new employees on organizational operating procedures, processes, and standards. Demonstrate proficiency with required machinery and equipment and resolve most downtime issues related to machinery and equipment maintenance.
