Full Job Description Description:
The 1st shift Production Supervisor will manage plant production personnel to ensure customer requirements and plant schedules are met efficiently. This is a full-time 1st shift position, exempt position that reports to the Operations Manager. Essential Duties Oversee operation of multiple production lines from start to finish process - ingredient weighing, batch mixing, machine operation, general labor. Lead production team in fast-paced, high-speed environment with a focus on safety, clear communication, accountability, and adherence to SOPs. Track production performance metrics, including output, quality, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency as required - electronically and/or written format; suggest solutions/process improvements. Minimize product loss, scrap, and rework by identifying inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions. Oversee production operations across lines or departments by assigning responsibilities, ensuring coverage, and adjusting staffing to control labor costs and meet production demands. Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations; identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions; lead and/or participate in safety meetings as required.
Requirements:
Leadership experience in food processing preferred 2 Years Production Supervisor experience required Safety & Continuous Improvement focus Detail-oriented, analytical, and well organized Ability to train team members in all aspects of manufacturin Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams Drive for results, challenge of status quo, and be an independent thinker
Hours:
Monday-Friday 5a-2p or 8a-5p, rotating schedule. 2 Saturdays required per month
