Jim Hawk Truck Trailers, Inc., one of the largest semi-truck trailer dealers in the Midwest, is looking for an energetic, highly motivated, Service Foreman to join our Service team in Davenport, IA. The foreman works closely with the Service Manager in leading our service team to perform excellent work in a safe and enjoyable work environment. If you are comfortable providing direction to a group of diesel technicians and trailer technicians in a 9-bay shop and want to work in productive work environment, this is a great opportunity. The foreman is responsible for the following: Assigning orders/work to the staff. Ensuring that work orders are completed in a timely manner. Making sure that all jobs are done correctly and efficiently. Training and mentoring staff to help grow their skill sets. Participating in training to stay current on related topics. Inspecting all work prior to completion to ensure quality standards are met. Making sure specialty equipment and tools are in proper condition and returned upon completion of assigned work. Communicating effectively with shop staff to ensure the staff's needs are known and properly addressed. Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills:
Two years of experience as a Service Foreman in the Truck and/or Trailer industry or 10 years of experience as a technician in the Truck and/or Trailer industry in is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Basic computer skills Strong organizational and time management skills Must be hard working and safety conscious.
