JOB SUMMARY
Hog Slat, Inc., is the world's largest provider of equipment and turnkey facilities to the swine and poultry industries. The primary role of the Slat Plant Supervisor is to direct and coordinate activities concerned with production of company products out of our Humboldt, IA Slat Plant
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change. Work with management to establish, coordinate and supervise the completion of the manufacturing plan. Assigns specific tasks to each workstation. Keeps track of attendance-sheets and checks actual attendance of all his team-members. Checks the raw material supplies and inspects welded mats. Follows up machinery functioning and informs the maintenance department in case of malfunction. Check the quality of the produced concrete and takes correction measures in case in non-conformities. Identifies the causes that could impact the quality of the process or the products. Keeps track of the daily production of concrete batches and the number of products produced. Monitor and document curing temperatures and time. Supervises the compliance to the technological stages along the manufacturing line. Supervises the quality of the finished products on each manufacturing phase. Observes the manufacturing plan and ensures that production parameters are attained in terms of quantity & quality. At the end of the work-shift, checks the cleaning status of all machinery and instruct maintenance of any issues. Ensures work instructions and safety compliance for all the team members. Works with maintenance to ensure lockout / tag-out procedures are being followed. Provides training and assistance to personnel if needed. Abides to the quality, work security and environment regulations. Informing the team members about the health and safety procedure. Performs daily production and safety reports.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts, The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and/or extreme cold.
