Job Summary Supervise production and/or maintenance employees on the assigned shift. Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are met. Serve as the primary liaison between shop-floor employees and management. Work primarily on the manufacturing shop floor. Key Responsibilities Lead and provide guidance to hourly employees. Coordinate and schedule daily production/maintenance activities. Assign work, fill vacancies, and schedule overtime based on production needs. Ensure employees have proper training, work instructions, and tools. Monitor production performance and quality requirements. Troubleshoot workmanship and production issues. Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Plan equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime. Monitor department budgets and operating targets. Lead continuous improvement, safety, and housekeeping activities. Spend approximately 50% of the day on the shop floor. Required Qualifications 1+ year of production/manufacturing supervisory experience. 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience. Experience leading hourly employees in a factory environment. Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel. Strong communication and people-management skills. Experience with planning and estimating work. Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and tool & die. Organized and detail-oriented. Preferred SAP experience. Ideal Candidate Manufacturing/production supervisor with strong people leadership experience. Comfortable working directly on the shop floor. $37.00 - $41.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Application Question(s): Do you have direct supervisory experience in CNC machining, machine shop, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing operations, including CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, tooling, or fabrication equipment? Have you directly supervised maintenance technicians, skilled trades, machinists, electricians, mechanics, welders, or fabricators, and how many hourly employees have you led in a union or non-union environment? Do you have experience troubleshooting or coordinating repairs involving CNC controls, PLCs, HMIs, robotics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, servo, or automated manufacturing equipment? Have you managed preventive/predictive maintenance, equipment uptime, downtime reduction, machine repair, maintenance scheduling, root-cause analysis, or coordinating maintenance around production schedules? Have you been responsible for hourly workforce management, including staffing, daily assignments, overtime, attendance, training, performance/discipline, safety/LOTO, production priorities, and continuous improvement?
