Job Description

Production SupervisorPosition OverviewWe are seeking a results-oriented Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production activities, coach and develop team members, maintain production schedules, and drive continuous improvement to meet safety, quality, and output targets. Bilingual Spanish skills are a strong plus to support a diverse workforce.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Lead, train, and mentor production staff; conduct performance reviews and implement development plans to improve team capabilities.

Monitor production KPIs (output, yield, downtime, scrap) and take corrective actions to achieve targets.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory policies; promote a culture of safety and enforce standard operating procedures.

Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen) to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.

Coordinate with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.

Manage staffing, shift assignments, and overtime to meet production demands while controlling labor costs.

Maintain production documentation, generate daily/weekly reports, and communicate status updates to operations management.

Support inventory control and materials availability by communicating needs to purchasing and warehouse teams.

Qualifications3+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role in a production environment.

Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, safety regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage conflict, and drive accountability.

Bilingual in Spanish and English to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP/MRP systems to monitor production and inventory.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelors degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or related field preferred.

Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
