$35-$42/hour or $75,000-$95,000/year, depending on experience Position Summary United innovative Solutions Corp. (UIS) is seeking an experienced SMT Supervisor/Lead to support and grow our PCBA manufacturing operation in Elk Grove Village. This is a hands-on leadership position. We are looking for someone who can lead operators while also supporting SMT programming, setup, troubleshooting, changeovers, process improvement, and training. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day SMT production activities. Coordinate production priorities, staffing, machine utilization, and changeovers. Program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot SMT equipment. Support Yamaha and Europlacer SMT production lines. Optimize feeder setup, placement programs, and changeover efficiency. Monitor solder paste printing, SPI, placement, reflow, AOI, and X-ray processes. Troubleshoot component placement and soldering defects. Coordinate closely with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Materials. Train and develop SMT operators and technicians. Ensure compliance with work instructions, process controls, ESD, FOD, and quality requirements. Support preventive maintenance and equipment uptime. Drive improvements in throughput, first-pass yield, scrap, and downtime. Support high-mix/low-to-medium-volume PCBA production. Qualifications 5+ years of SMT manufacturing experience preferred. Previous SMT lead, programmer, technician, or supervisory experience. Strong hands-on SMT programming and setup experience. Yamaha YRM/YRP experience is highly desirable. Europlacer, Juki, Fuji, Universal, or similar platform experience is also valuable. Strong understanding of stencil printing, SPI, reflow, AOI, and PCBA manufacturing. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 andJ-STD-001
preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Experience training and developing SMT operators. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is not only a supervisor. We are looking for someone who can step onto the production floor, understand the equipment and process, troubleshoot problems, train operators, and help build a strong SMT operation.Pay:
