Overview Under the direction of the operations manager, the production supervisor directly assists with coordinating the activities of the bakery production workers, organizing the necessary resources for the manufacturing of the company's specialty baked products. Your leadership will inspire a motivated team to meet production goals while adhering to strict safety protocols and continuous process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Follows and enforces adherence to all food safety, personal safety, and baking appropriate state and/or federal regulations. Supervises and coaches' production staff to maintain a dynamic work environment. Continuously works with the maintenance staff to ensure equipment is running to meet production demands. Assists with developing and maintaining production procedures. Maintains production reports or personnel records. Assist in the coordination of the company's product distribution requirements. Ensures production schedules are met daily by maintaining positive lines of communication at all levels. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Assist in employee training, evaluation, and assist in resolving personnel grievances between employees, and discharge staff when necessary. Assist in setting and monitoring product standards to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality. Maintains production and inspection documentation as required. Assist operations manager with all internal and third-party audits. Reports all food safety and personal safety concerns and/or potential hazards to pertaining Managers. Assist with maintaining production, personnel schedules, and with approving timecards. Assist in training new personnel. Maintain areas of responsibility safe, clean, and organized. Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation related to manufacturing activities and safety compliance. Experience Leadership background with great written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Basic to intermediate computer skills Experience/Familiarity with Food Safety Standards. Must be organized, accurate, and demonstrate ability to meet objectives with great follow-through Must be able to accurately maintain all documentation, analyze information and create reports. Excellent problem-solving skills, and work well with other departments. Knowledge of BRC, HAACP, GFSI, and AIB.
