What You'll Do Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members during the 2nd shift, ensuring productivity targets are met. Oversee CNC machine operations, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting to maximize efficiency. Enforce safety standards and protocols across the shop floor, promoting a culture of safety and compliance with OSHA regulations. Interpret manufacturing documents such as technical drawings, work orders, and process instructions to ensure accurate execution. Utilize measuring instruments and hand tools to verify dimensions and quality of machined parts according to specifications. Manage inventory levels within the manufacturing area, including forklift operation for material movement and warehouse organization. Lead process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance workflow. Ensure proper use of power tools and manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and mechanical assembly tasks. Maintain detailed production records, logs, and reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for enhancement. Collaborate with management to optimize manufacturing processes, implement new procedures, and support team development. What we're looking for Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a CNC shop or machine shop setting. Demonstrated ability to manage production or assembly teams effectively in a fast-paced setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and interpreting technical drawings. Familiarity with factory safety standards, lean manufacturing practices, and process improvement methodologies. Warehouse experience including forklift operation is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols during manual handling tasks. Prior experience with manufacturing management or supervisory roles is preferred but not required; leadership potential is valued.
