Job Summary The Cooler Production Supervisor is responsible for providing hands-on leadership and operational support for the Cooler Department while assisting other warehouse departments as needed. This position oversees daily production and warehouse activities, including staffing, workflow, shipping and receiving, sanitation, quality, productivity, and employee performance. The Supervisor will ensure departmental operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise associates within the Cooler Department, including employees supporting shipping, receiving, and warehouse office functions. Direct daily cooler production and warehouse activities to ensure operational, productivity, quality, and service goals are achieved. Assign daily job duties and responsibilities based on workload, staffing levels, and operational priorities. Schedule employee work hours, breaks, and vacations while maintaining adequate coverage to support production requirements. Conduct periodic employee performance evaluations in accordance with established Human Resources policies. Train, coach, and support employees on warehouse policies, departmental procedures, safety requirements, and job responsibilities. Assist other warehouse supervisors and associates with operational needs, procedures, and job duties as required. Work closely with employees to ensure quality and productivity expectations are clearly communicated, understood, and consistently achieved. Monitor workflow and employee performance throughout the shift and address operational issues that could impact productivity or customer service. Follow up on customer concerns and complaints, review discrepancy reports, and assist with appropriate resolutions to maintain strong customer relationships. Maintain overall responsibility for proper sanitation practices throughout the Cooler Department and applicable warehouse and office areas. Ensure established load-sealing policies and procedures are consistently followed. Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Build employee engagement through effective leadership, communication, coaching, and accountability. Maintain effective communication with warehouse leadership regarding production, staffing, quality, safety, and operational concerns. Support other departments and operational areas as business needs require. Maintain flexibility regarding scheduling and availability to support changing business and operational needs. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of warehouse supervisory or leadership experience, preferably within a wholesale, distribution, production, or similar high-volume environment. Previous experience leading warehouse or cooler/refrigerated operations preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a diverse workforce. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Self-motivated and capable of independently implementing and supervising departmental processes and procedures. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with employees and all levels of management. Strong computer skills with experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Ability to work a 5:00 AM start schedule and maintain flexibility based on operational needs. Education and Experience Some college-level coursework in management, business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred but not required. A combination of education and at least 2 years of warehouse supervisory experience may be considered. Experience within the wholesale or distribution industry is preferred. Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Ability to learn and effectively utilize additional warehouse, inventory, and operational software. Reasoning and Leadership Ability Ability to manage daily priorities in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment. Ability to identify operational issues, evaluate available information, and implement appropriate solutions. Ability to effectively manage, coach, and lead a diverse workforce. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments and levels of management.
