Annually Description:
Summary The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations and employees within the Production Department. This position works closely with Production Control and other departments to ensure customer orders and manufacturing work orders are completed on schedule while meeting safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Responsibilities Monitor production activities to ensure customer orders and manufacturing work orders are completed on schedule. Partner with Production Control to establish order completion and shipment timelines. Coordinate with department group leaders to provide training and guidance to production employees. Review or delegate the review of custom BTH customer orders requiring purchasing requisitions or other support. Create and update Standard Practice Instructions (SPIs) for production processes. Collaborate with other departments to address production-related issues. Handle employee disciplinary matters within the Production Department. Enforce compliance with shop safety requirements. Complete employee performance appraisals. Identify methods and processes to improve production efficiency. Investigate and correct production-related errors. Ensure finished products meet company quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work effectively as an active team member. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements High school diploma or acceptable equivalent. Vocational education in welding, machining, or a related field is preferred. 3-5 years of production supervisory or similar experience preferred. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Strong management and supervisory skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Ability to speak, read, and understand English. Ability to interact with internal and external customers, vendors, sales representatives, coworkers, and supervisors in a professional and respectful manner.

Exempt Physical requirements: Ability to sit for up to 3 hours per day. Ability to stand for 7 or more hours per day. Ability to walk for 2 or more hours per day.
