Autocar®, LLC, headquartered in Hagerstown, Indiana, is a leading manufacturer of severe duty trucks. Production Supervisor As a P roduction S upervisor , you will be responsible for the overall performance of one of the assembly lines producing a portion of our overall product. Each line consists of 8-10 workstations, with 2-3 operators per station. The responsibilities include ensuring that quality requirements are being met, operators are performing their work in accordance with all safety policies, operators are making takt time, ensuring daily production requirements are achieved with minimal to no overtime.
Location:
Hagerstown, IN Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all operators are following the established safety standards. Ensure each truck at each station is built to our quality standards. Ensure all stations are backflushed correctly. Ensure daily line rate targets are achieved. Effectively manage personnel issues.
Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Previous supervision experience in manufacturing
Skills:
Ability to get and remain organized while multi-tasking. Computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and direct available manpower to accomplish these tasks. Good understanding of various hand tools, especially torque tools and requirements.
Work Environment :
This position is on the production floor, walking regularly station-to-station, monitoring daily production in their area of responsibility.
