Manufacturing Supervisor - Finished Paint Posted on May 12, 2025 May 12, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Manufacturing Supervisor - Finished Paint to lead daily operations in the paint finishing department of our client's facility. This role is responsible for ensuring production schedules are met with high quality standards, maintaining safety protocols, and driving team performance. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Position Responsibilities Production Oversight Supervise the day-to-day operations of the finished paint area Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and deadlines are met Coordinate workforce assignments and manage labor resources effectively Team Leadership & Training Lead, train, and mentor production staff in safety, quality, and efficiency Provide consistent feedback, monitor performance, and support team development Promote a positive and accountable work culture Quality & Safety Compliance Ensure all painted products meet visual and functional quality standards Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly Process Improvement Identify areas for operational improvement and lead efficiency initiatives Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to optimize production flow Monitor equipment performance and request repairs or maintenance as needed Prerequisites High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Technical degree preferred) 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Familiarity with paint finishing processes and related equipment Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required) OSHA Safety Certification Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt Lean Manufacturing Training What the Role Offers Competitive salary range: $50,000 - $55,000 Leadership opportunity in a core production department Stable, full-time role with long-term growth potential Collaborative work culture that values process improvement and employee development Why Rensselaer?
