Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize workplace hazards.
Oversee the inventory of materials and tools, ensuring that supplies are available when needed and that all equipment is maintained in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, time logs, and material usage. Prepare reports for management as needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.
Serve as a liaison between shop floor employees, management, and other departments. Ensure clear communication regarding project requirements, timelines, and any issues that arise.
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred.
Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, welding techniques, CNC machines and blueprint reading.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a fabrication setting. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the shop floor for extended periods.

Position Summary:
The Foreman in a steel fabrication shop is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of skilled workers. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with both the workforce and management.Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of welders, fitters, CNC machining team and/or laborers in the steel fabrication shop, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and safety regulations. Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a steel fabrication environment (welding & fitting), with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred.
Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, welding techniques, CNC machines and blueprint reading.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Physical and Safety Requirements:
