Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing or production process. This position plays a key role in achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, AND/OR SKILLS
? Directly supervise production staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management. ? Monitor and oversee all production activities, ensuring that production goals are met. ? Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications through regular quality checks and inspections. ? Promote and enforce safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment, to maintain a safe work environment. ? Manage inventory levels and ensure materials are available to meet production demands. ? Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains and implement appropriate changes. ? Prepare production reports, including production efficiency, quality, and any issues or deviations. ? Address production issues and challenges as they arise, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions. ? Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and quality control to ensure smooth production processes. ? Monitor and control production costs to optimize resource utilization.
QUALIFICATIONS
? 3-5 Years experience in a supervisory role managing people in a production environment. ? Steel fabrication experience preferred. ? Knowledge of ERP systems.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
To do the job, the following physical requirements are necessary: ? Ability to stand for long periods of time. ? Ability to occasionally pull, push, carry, or lift tools, equipment, or materials 50 lbs. or less. ? Ability to withstand occasional bending, squatting, or crouching. ? Ability to frequently handle (hold, seize, grasp, turn, etc.) tools, equipment, or material. ? Ability to work in inclement weather conditions, including cold, heat, and humidity.
