Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to continuously improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of shop personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain and quality assurance, to streamline operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Implement and maintain systems for inventory management, production tracking, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.

Experience:

• Proven experience in plant management or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production management principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies and their application in improving operational efficiency.
• Experience in supply chain management, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics.
• Proficient in using systems for production planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and standards.
