Job Description
DIRECT HIRE ROLE
from day oneResponsibilities:
Supervising employees on the shop floor which includes daily work assignments. Contributing to the manufacturing in the fabrication process such as press brake, deburring, drill/tap, hardware insertion, and/or assembly Oversee shift changeover, ensuring 2nd shift is properly prepared each day. Enforce safety protocols and conduct routine safety checks on the floor. Ensure work is performed to specifications - blueprints and quality standards Perform the first piece inspection on each part throughout the fabrication process Ensure employees are clocked against the correct jobs/operations. Keeping track of attendance, conduct and ensuring employees are following company policy Qualifications At least three years previous supervisory experience in a precision sheet metal manufacturing environment. Computer skills including MS Excel, Word Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor experience a plus). Ability to read blueprints and work orders. Ability to use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and similar measurement instruments to determine dimensional compliance to a drawing.Hours are:
