We Make It Easy to Do Business We Empower Growth You will Experience Engaged Employees Position Summary The 2nd Shift Production Manager is responsible for leading all production and operational activities during the second shift at Industrial Packaging's Webster, MA facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality packaging operations across all of our Secondary Packaging production lines. The 2nd Shift Production Manager drives efficiency, labor performance, throughput, and culture while reinforcing operational safety, food safety, regulatory compliance, and operational discipline. This leader builds a culture of support and empowerment. They develop frontline supervisors and leads, building accountability, and ensuring strong communication between shifts to protect people, products, and brands. They have a passion for people and processes; for building great cultures of empowered team members who feel heard and know they have a voice. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage 2nd Shift Supervisors, Leads, and Production teams, driving accountability, performance, and engagement. Execute daily production plans to meet or exceed efficiency, labor ratio, OEE, and revenue targets. Monitor line performance and respond rapidly to downtime, quality deviations, staffing gaps, and operational challenges. Partner closely with Maintenance, Quality, Compliance, Warehouse, and Safety teams to ensure reliable and compliant operations. Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, SQF, AIB, OSHA and company operational standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, labor optimization, process stability, and cost control. Develop team capability through coaching, performance management, training, and succession planning. Ensure accurate shift reporting of KPIs including efficiency, labor ratio, downtime, safety, and quality metrics. Promote strong cross-shift communication to ensure smooth transitions between 1st and 2nd Shift. Champion a strong safety and empowered culture and enforce safe work practices across all production areas. Qualifications 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, packaging, or food production environments. Demonstrated success leading multi-line, high-speed packaging operations. Bilingual fluency required (English and Spanish) with the ability to lead, coach, and communicate effectively in both languages. Strong understanding of production metrics including efficiency, labor ratio, OEE, throughput, and cost control. Experience working in GMP, food safety, and regulated manufacturing environments. Strong leadership presence with proven ability to build culture and drive accountability. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, food-grade production environment. Culture Builder empowering teams and driving accountability. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills a must Preferred Skills Experience in food, beverage, or consumer goods packaging operations. Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement experience. Experience with ERP systems, production reporting systems, and data-driven decision making. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in warm/cold production environments as required. Schedule & Compensation Full‑time, Salaried, On‑Site Role (may include weekends or overtime during peak production periods). Salary commensurate with skills, education & experience. $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
