Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead and oversee sheet metal installation projects within the construction industry. This role is vital in ensuring that all aspects of sheet metal work are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a comprehensive understanding of construction management software and technical drawings. As a Sheet Metal Foreman, you will coordinate teams, interpret schematics, manage schedules, and uphold safety regulations to deliver successful project outcomes. Duties Lead and supervise sheet metal crews on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide installation processes accurately. Coordinate construction schedules with project managers using tools like Primavera P6 and Construction management software to meet deadlines. Manage daily site operations, including crew management, quality control, and adherence to OSHA and federal safety regulations. Review construction drawings and schematics for accuracy; oversee blueprint reading and technical interpretation for installation tasks. Monitor project progress through construction scheduling, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with contracts and safety standards. Communicate effectively with management, clients, subcontractors, and team members to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve issues promptly. Skills Extensive experience in heavy industrial or commercial construction projects with a focus on sheet metal installation. Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Prolog, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools. Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety protocols. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and using tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary. Proven ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards. Excellent project scheduling skills combined with construction estimating and budgeting expertise. Effective managerial communication skills with experience supervising crews and coordinating multiple trades on-site.
