Based on Experience Position Summary Iron World Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within our aluminum shop, including panel production, CNC routing, and fabrication processes. This role is responsible for production output, quality control, team leadership, and ERP-driven manufacturing execution , ensuring that customer orders are produced efficiently, accurately, and on time. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, strong quality control discipline, ERP manufacturing knowledge, and fence industry experience would be nice , along with the ability to lead a bilingual workforce. Key Responsibilities Production Leadership Supervise daily aluminum shop operations (manual lines, CNC routers, fabrication) Ensure production schedules are met based on Sales Orders and production plans Coordinate workflow between cutting, routing, assembly, and staging Drive productivity and efficiency across all aluminum production lines CNC Router Setup & Programming Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC router machines Program and adjust tool paths, offsets, and routings as needed Ensure proper fixturing, calibration, and repeatability Train operators on machine use, safety, and best practices Quality Control Enforce strict adherence to product specifications and drawings Conduct first article inspections and in-process quality checks Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions Work closely with coating, assembly, and shipping teams to ensure quality standards ERP & Production Systems Utilize ERP system ( NetSuite or similar) for: Work Orders Production reporting Inventory transactions BOM and routing verification Ensure accurate data entry to support MRP and production planning Collaborate with Supply Chain and Order Processing teams Team Leadership Lead, train, and develop production team members Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments Maintain accountability for attendance, performance, and safety Communicate clearly with a bilingual (English/Spanish) workforce Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce waste, and increase throughput Support implementation of new equipment, automation, and processes Track and improve KPIs (output, efficiency, scrap, rework) Qualifications Required 3-5+ years of manufacturing supervision experience Hands-on experience with CNC router setup and programming Strong background in production quality control Experience using ERP manufacturing modules ( NetSuite, or similar) Experience in the fence, metal fabrication, or aluminum manufacturing industry would be nice Bilingual (English/Spanish) - a plus but not required Preferred Experience in aluminum panel or extrusion-based manufacturing Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Familiarity with coating/powder coating processes Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Key Performance Metrics Daily production output (panels, linear feet) On-time order completion Scrap and rework rates Labor efficiency (output per man-hour) Inventory and ERP accuracy Why Join Iron World Growing manufacturing company with expanding operations (MD, FL, NC) Opportunity to lead and shape aluminum production processes Investment in automation and operational excellence Fast-paced environment with strong leadership visibility
