Job Description

First-Line Supervisor of Production and Operating Workers Altus Technology Solutions is seeking a First-Line Supervisor of Production and Operating Workers to support production and fabrication operations at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF). This position is responsible for directly supervising and coordinating production workers and fabricators, managing incoming work, coordinating personnel and equipment, and ensuring production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to established schedules and requirements. The Supervisor will work closely with production, engineering, logistics, and management personnel to ensure materials, equipment, personnel, and schedules are properly coordinated to support mission requirements. Primary Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production workers and fabricators.
  • Manage incoming work schedules and allocate personnel, equipment, and other resources to support successful completion of assigned work.
  • Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules.
  • Coordinate the flow of materials to meet production requirements and established schedules.
  • Coordinate personnel and equipment schedules with material procurements and availability.
  • Identify material shortages, resource constraints, and potential impacts to production schedules.
  • Monitor work in progress and communicate production status to management.
  • Identify potential production problems and assist in developing solutions.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, procurement, and other functional teams to resolve production issues.
  • Ensure personnel follow established production procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable technical requirements.
  • Support the efficient use of production equipment, tools, materials, and personnel.
  • Review work requirements and ensure resources are available to meet established schedules.
  • Maintain accurate production records, schedules, and status information.
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding production resources, scheduling, staffing, and potential process improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement of production processes and procedures. Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to meet applicable clearance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical, or business discipline, or a qualifying substitution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years of experience in production facility management.
  • Experience supervising production personnel, fabricators, technicians, or similar manufacturing/production employees.
  • Experience coordinating personnel, equipment, materials, and production schedules.
  • Ability to identify and resolve production scheduling, material, staffing, and resource issues.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, work requirements, and production schedules.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, logistics, and management personnel.
  • Ability to work onsite in a production environment and support mission requirements.
  • Must be able to comply with applicable DoD security, safety, quality, and operational requirements.
