Job Description

Join us at Maine Recycling Corporation (MRC) as we are launching an exciting new Bottle Bill processing facility in Bangor! We're looking for a hands-on Second-Shift Production Lead to help drive safety, efficiency, and team development. As the Production Lead, you will direct the development of workers in the assigned production areas to meet safety, quality, and production goals. You will instruct and ensure that all policies and procedures are being administered in a safe and timely manner. You will assist in developing workers to ensure the most efficient operations within your production area.
Job Type:
Full-time.
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 4pm-12Midnight. No Weekends. Paid 30 Minute Lunch.
Functions & Responsibilities:
Ensure all safety standards are taught and followed consistently. Provide leadership to a team of employees (bag rippers, machine operators, forklift operators..). Assign work areas, cross-train employees, and maintain consistent interaction. Step in across roles when necessary to support operations. Communicate issues and concerns promptly to manager. Proactively identify and implement process improvements.
Job Requirements:
The ability to work in a Team environment. Leadership skills. Good organizational and people skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Ability to operate machinery and equipment. Forklift experience is a plus. Maintenance experience is a plus.
Pay:
Starting at $22/hr.
