Production Supervisor Shift:
2nd Shift (2:00 PM-10:00 PM) or 3rd Shift (10:00 PM-6:00 AM) Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production employees supporting assembly or machining operations at GM Flint Engine Operations. This position provides day-to-day leadership on the production floor with a focus on meeting established Safety, People, Quality, and Responsiveness targets . The Production Supervisor will monitor production performance, address operational issues, support employees, and work with technical and administrative teams to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production and operating employees within assembly or machining operations. Drive performance against established Safety, People, Quality, and Responsiveness targets. Monitor production activities and identify opportunities to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and overall efficiency. Review operations and collaborate with technical and administrative personnel to resolve production or processing issues. Support and maintain production tracking and quality control systems. Analyze production, quality, and maintenance information to identify problems and support corrective actions. Provide leadership, coaching, training, and performance feedback to production employees. Address employee concerns and assist in resolving workplace issues and grievances. Prepare and maintain production reports, personnel records, and other required documentation. Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented manufacturing environment. Required Skills Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and effectively manage time. Ability to lead and motivate employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production operations, raw materials, and quality control principles. Ability to identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, quality, and equipment performance. Work Environment Manufacturing environment supporting production assembly or machining lines. Position requires regular interaction with production employees and cross-functional technical and administrative teams.
