The main function of the Production Group Supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.

Job Responsibilities:

Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems. Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems. Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances. Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

Role:

Heavily involved with UAW team members, managing a group of around 15-25 employees. Working with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines 100% onsite. Environment- On the GA plant floor, a lot of walking and standing Performance feedback is given in real time Someone willing to standup to their team. It is difficult to come in this environment and not get "ran over" by the team member. We're always willing to help but have to some ownership and initiative to receive help. I want someone that handle a project on their own. Safety is important. Holding people accountable from a safety perspective, especially in general assembly.

Skills:

Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or higher preferred. Previous knowledge of supply chain / material movement would give an edge Managerial experience is a plus within UAW space At least 1-2years of experience mandatory
