Role Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour.
Shift:
1st— Monday to Friday 6:00am-2:30pm. We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily shop-floor operations in our fast-paced metal fastener manufacturing facility. In this role, you will lead a team of machine operators, setup technicians, and material handlers to meet daily output goals while maintaining strict quality standards and safety protocols. If you have a strong background in cold heading, thread rolling, heat treating, or secondary machining processes and know how to foster a collaborative team environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership:
Direct and coordinate daily shop-floor Production activities.
Team Management:
Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate production operators and setup technicians; manage daily shift handovers and attendance.
Production Targets:
Monitor throughput, machine downtime, scrap rates, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to meet production schedules on time.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure full compliance with quality management systems, enforce strict first-piece inspection procedures and SPC routines.
Safety & Environment:
Maintain a safe working environment, lead safety talks, enforce PPE policy, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and 5S housekeeping.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in root-cause analysis.
Equipment Maintenance:
Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshoot mechanical or tooling issues on machines.
Qualifications & Requirements Required:
High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a metal manufacturing facility. Hands-on knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes (cold heading, thread rolling. Preferred but not required; we will train you on our machines.) Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Plex, SAP, Epicor) for tracking job orders and inventory. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators), and SPC. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs occasionally, and wear required PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, ear protection).
