Principal Accountabilities:

• Emphasizes the importance of safety.
• Requires employees to practice safety at all times.
• Perpetuates motivation and healthy employee interaction.
• Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
• Establishes a respectable working atmosphere.
• Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff
• Monitors production and employee accuracy to confirm quality.
• Coordinates production flow to ensure accuracy of shipping schedule.
• Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
• Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
• Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
• Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
• Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
• Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff
• Provides disciplinary action and counseling to employees.
• Works to reduce cost.

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the principal accountabilities listed above. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or 10 years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Production Management:

5 years

Manufacturing Supervision:

10 years SAP experience preferred. Six Sigma experience preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Problem Solving Skills:

Ability to effectively think outside the box to solve problems related to Production Management, including scheduling, meeting customer requirements, solving employee problems.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.

Physical Demands:
