The Supervisor, Production is responsible for overseeing the assembly and production of the company's highly regulated medical devices. This role ensures that all production activities are completed efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and customer requirements. The Supervisor ensures adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and established Quality Systems through effective process management, documentation control, and metric-driven performance oversight. Regular communication and updates to team members are essential to maintain alignment, support daily operations, and ensure successful execution of production plans.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Employee Development Supervise the daily activities of Assemblers and employees in the assembly of Medical Devices.
  • Recruit, select and retain a high-performance Production team
  • Balance the assembly lines and test area in relation to availability of staff and demands of daily production schedule
  • Set and communicate performance expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving expectations and completing assignments
  • Promote and manage employee development and foster employee growth of employees within the production group through:
  • Full-cycle Performance management
  • Skills development
  • Ongoing performance feedback and timely performance appraisal
  • Recognition and motivational techniques/tools to drive high levels of employee satisfaction.
  • Manage conflict by dealing effectively with others in an antagonistic situation; use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension and conflict between two or more people

Oversee and/or conduct training of new or existing employees and facilitates the assimilation of new members and changes. Production Planning and Inventory Execute and offer input to the weekly, quarterly, and yearly production planning activities to maintain output to required inventory levels and customer demand.

Monitor usage of materials to ensure efficiency of operations. Communicate with planning and procurement on priorities. Perform timely transactions online utilizing ERP/MRP system including Production Orders and the creation of NCMR's Quality and Continuous Improvement Work closely with the manufacturing engineering and sustaining engineering groups to lead updates and improvements to manufacturing processes. Help develop, update, and maintain procedures and documentation to assure compliance to Quality System and Regulations.

Maintain process records and metrics data gathering and reporting. Monitor quality of production output products by reviewing routers and test records.

Initiate and execute change orders and updates to work instructions to ensure continuance of production.

Develop and recommend improvements to facilities, equipment, or procedures that improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

Implement existing production and business processes; make adjustments and recommendations as necessary to produce products within specifications. Audit and Compliance Responsibility Work within the company's quality policy, established business practices and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure the operations environment is organized, compliant, and maintained.

Accompany auditors as required.

Recommend and implement action plans to correct deviations noted during audits. Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Minimum 2-year Associates degree or, in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or equivalent plus five (5) years experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.

2+ years demonstrated supervisory or leadership (i.e. production lead) experience in a manufacturing environment

Effective oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.

Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with direct reports, peers, and senior management across the organization

Demonstrated problem-solving skills

Moderate level of computer experience including MS Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Preferred:

BS in Manufacturing Engineering or Operations Management

5 yrs experience as a leader in a regulated environment

Demonstrated ability to perform job duties of all subordinate positions

Demonstrated expertise in a variety of process technologies and manufacturing environments

Experience leading lean manufacturing and other process improvements in a regulated environment.

Compensation & Total Rewards:

Estimated starting salary: $75k

The provided range is based on salary and market data and may vary based on an employee's eligibility for geographic differential pay in high-cost-of-labor markets.
