Excavation Supervisor

Position Summary We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Excavation Supervisor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive hands-on experience in excavation and earthmoving operations, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality on every job site.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a crew of excavator operators, laborers, and equipment operators on daily excavation projects Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and timelines Coordinate daily tasks, equipment usage, and material deliveries Perform pre-job and ongoing site inspections to identify hazards and maintain compliance with safety regulations Read and interpret blueprints, grading plans, and project drawings Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and crew members Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues as they arise Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, and equipment logs Train, mentor, and develop crew members

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in excavation, grading, and heavy equipment operations Previous supervisory or lead experience required (3+ years preferred) Strong working knowledge of excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and related equipment Ability to read civil plans, grading plans, and specifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required) Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs when needed Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work overtime Rogge Excavating Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
