2nd Shift Lead Operator

Overview :

Provide quality support to the production department.

Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED required 0-1-year QC inspection or related work experience in a production environment Basic mathematical skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide and work with decimals and fractions) Able to partner with production supervisor and technical team members to resolve dimensional or cosmetic issues with parts Able to operate hand-held tools, including trimming knife, de-burring tool, jigs and fixtures Good communication and teamwork skills Maintain safe work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Prefer prior plastic injection molding or manufacturing experience Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities:

Audit rework parts to ensure all parts are acceptable Stamp boxes with approval to be shipped Moving boxes to pallet and using a pallet jack to place pallet in appropriate area. Partner with production supervisors, machine operators, and Quality team members to ensure SOPs are followed and acceptable products are manufactured. Communicate immediately with production supervisor, machine operators, and Quality manager when non-conforming parts are produced and/or identified. Perform product/process audits and make observations/recommendations to improve processes and procedures. Assist production supervisor in training operators as needed on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assist with hourly inspection. Assist production supervisor in giving breaks to Operators as needed.
