We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Production Supervisor to join our team and contribute to this mission. The Associate Production Supervisor supports leadership for the Production department via rigorous application of Amerilab processes and is present on the floor 75% of the day. This role is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the team of employees who perform specific tasks as part of operations activities in a nutritional supplement manufacturing environment. Responsible for communicating expectations, building accountability and delivering desired results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Your responsibilities will include:
Support Supervisor in day-to-day operations of assigned area or workgroup to ensure organizational and objectives are met. Promote communication and teamwork across shifts / crews as applicable. Assist the management team to provide orientation and training of employees. Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning. Ensure that all required documentation for production records is completed according to policies. Assists with oversight of production lines across the platforms/value stream to ensure efficient operations. Train line leads, and line employees on Rules and Regulations, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Job Expectations. Fill in as back-up Supervisor when needed. Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned area or workgroup to ensure organizational and objectives are met.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safety Protocol:
Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures. Correct or report any observed safety hazards. Support safety policies and programs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and direction to the Production team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessary from time to time.
Qualifications:
Education / Experience /
Certifications:
Three years of experience, preferably in a food, pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement or a dry products company in a lead or supervisory role preferred. Experience working with automated manufacturing preferred Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Skills Required:
Capable of interaction at all levels of the organization. People leadership experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively influence others. Knowledge of equipment qualification, facilities, preventative maintenance and calibration programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to foresee problems or issues before they arise and select the best course of action to prevent and/or resolve the problem. Ability to work as part of a team with members across the organization. Ability to lead operators daily, including coaching and mentoring operators. Ability to provide feedback and insight to management regarding the daily operations of the production department.
