The primary accountabilities for the position include:
- Create the weekly production plan per project
- Manage the activities of the production floor
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver project-specific products in a timely fashion.
- Supervise production operations directly
- Document daily output and margins based on quotes
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning
- Ensure safety rules are followed and a safe work environment is maintained
- Ensure productivity and quality performance standards are met or exceeded
- Interacts with other supervisors involved in production enterprises of VLR to assure efficient use of resources.
- Ensure quality forms are completed and records maintained
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate incoming material, communicating with remote warehouse, vendors, and in-house warehouse personnel
- Ensure materials are delivered to proper production line.
- Assist with inventory cycle count and ensure system count matches physical count
- Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best use CPS capacity.
- Responsible for the management of project-specific inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected item to meet production schedules. Using MAX Inventory system
- Draw material from vendors using shortage reporting and max system
- Schedule trucks and daily shipments of input material to and from remote warehouse and vendors. Fill out necessary shipping documents
- Utilize excel to create packing lists
- Work closely with staff to plan orders and ensure products are created to customer specification
- Advise senior planner of any changes to the production schedule
- Provide project-specific inventory reports to senior planner on a weekly basis
- Create and maintain a strong relationship with floor leads and line employees and ensure timely response to all customer inquiries
- Participate in all required safety training
- Follow 100% of safety rules every time
- Report all injuries and safety concerns to a supervisor
- Ensure employees follow safety rules
- Provide high quality workmanship Ability to speak Spanish is desired.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
