Job Summary Winegar, Inc. is seeking a CNC Turning Department Supervisor to lead our turning operations team. This position is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, supporting employees, maintaining workflow, and ensuring jobs move efficiently through the department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and creating an organized, productive work environment. While machining experience is important, we are primarily seeking a strong leader who can develop employees, communicate expectations, and keep production running smoothly. Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead, coach, and support a team of CNC machine operators and machinists. Create a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment. Provide ongoing feedback, training, and performance coaching. Assist employees in solving production challenges and improving performance. Promote teamwork and collaboration across shifts and departments. Production Coordination Ensure jobs are assigned to the appropriate machines and personnel. Monitor production schedules and department priorities. Remove obstacles that prevent employees from being successful. Coordinate staffing and workflow to meet production goals and customer deadlines. Communicate production status, challenges, and opportunities with management. Quality & Accountability Verify operators are following work instructions and inspection requirements. Ensure quality checks and measurements are completed accurately and consistently. Support problem-solving efforts when quality or production issues arise. Maintain compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and communication. Champion workplace safety and housekeeping standards. Help develop employees' skills and prepare team members for future growth opportunities. Required Qualifications Previous experience leading, supervising, or coordinating employees in a manufacturing environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities. Commitment to safety, quality, and employee development. High school diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications CNC machining or manufacturing experience. Knowledge of turning operations, machining processes, or metalworking. Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documentation. Experience working in ISO or quality-controlled manufacturing environments. Technical training, vocational education, or related manufacturing education. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
