This position reports to:
Manufacturing Manager- NEMA __ The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining production quality, and driving operational excellence.

Your role and responsibilities:
Oversee daily production operations by supervising and coordinating team activities to meet production targets, manage schedules, provide backup supervision as needed, and maintain flexibility to support business needs. Ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards by enforcing ABB policies and procedures, investigating incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and maintaining product quality expectations. Lead, develop, and manage the production team through training, coaching, performance reviews, development discussions, consistent accountability, and administrative support including timecard approval and payroll coding. Drive operational excellence by tracking KPIs, coordinating equipment maintenance schedules, supporting root cause investigations, identifying process improvements and cost reduction opportunities, and partnering with Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, and Materials teams. Qualifications for the role:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of production supervision or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and maintenance principles. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and root cause problem solving. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, work instructions, and production specifications. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with computer literacy in manufacturing systems such as MES or ERP platforms like SAP, as well as Microsoft Office.
