Summary The Lead Person is a working leader who will perform tasks substantially similar (in terms of nature and level) as the employees under his/her leadership. In addition, the lead person is responsible for assisting the supervisor in carrying out certain aspects of the supervisor's responsibility. Ensure work orders for the paint line, general line, and silk screen operations run effectively to meet cycle time, production, and product quality requirements. Monitor daily job performance and productivity standards, providing assistance and addressing employee needs as required. Assemble scales and subassemblies to completion, applying the technical knowledge required for the role. Perform calibration, testing, and quality inspections using various tools, visual inspection methods, and established procedures. Monitor departmental quality performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain quality standards and procedures. Ensure full compliance with all applicable quality system requirements within areas of responsibility at all times. Interpret routers, prints, and schematics, while maintaining organization and cleanliness throughout departmental work areas. The Lead Person carries out the supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning tasks, directing work, ensuring safety, quality and productivity are priority. Required Education and Experience 1+ years of manufacturing & production experience. High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and paint/powder coating process. Ability to inspect and communicate defects effectively & use standard hand tools. Proficient in reading blueprints and instructions. Preferred Education and Experience Associate degree or trade school experience is a plus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Full-time position / Employee must be available during work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or as shift hours adjust. This is a 40 hour per week role. Occasional overtime work may be required as job duties demand.
