Overview Bilingual (English/Spanish) Production Supervisor, Nefab South East2nd Shift
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Production Manager, the second shift Production Supervisor oversees nightly wood-cutting, pallet, and crate manufacturing operations. Manage production schedules, lead assembly teams, manage raw material inventory and enforce quality control and OSHA safety standards. Their goal is to maximize throughput, minimize material waste, and ensure daily quotas are met This position is located in Olive Branch, MS , and you will report to the Production Manager and General Manager Pay depends on

2nd Shift Monday
  • Friday:
    4:00pm
  • 12:30am (currently working as late as 2:30am) Saturday 1:30pm

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Oversight:
Manage nightly shift operations to ensure custom crates, pallets, and cut lumber meet product specs, delivery deadlines, and quality standards
Quality Control:
Inspect lumber, pallets, and crates for defects, ensuring exact measurements and compliance with shipping standards
Team Leadership:
Train, mentor, and supervise floor workers. Manage shift schedules, time tracking, and performance evaluations.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce the use of PPE, conduct equipment training, and ensure machinery (saws, nail guns, pneumatic equipment) operates safely and smoothly.
Inventory Control:
Monitor lumber, nails, screws, hardware, and finished-pallet inventory; coordinate with purchasing to ensure raw material availability without overstocking.
Process Improvement:
Identify workflow bottlenecks, reduce scrap wood and material waste
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Additional education or certifications in Industrial Technology, Business Management, or Lean Manufacturing are a plus.
EXPERIENCE 2-3
years of manufacturing or carpentry experience, ideally with 1-3 years in a direct supervisory or lead role. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings/documents Direct experience with pallet/crate assembly equipment, band saws, circular saws, and pneumatic nail guns Experience working with wood, corrugate, foam and/or other traded material considered an asset Prior experience with ISO 9001 and 14001 is a plus
LANGUAGES
Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal communication is required; written skills a plus)
SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment Attention to detail Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to effectively manage employee performance Ability to train others on existing or new concepts Works well under pressure Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel is a plus
