Production SupervisorPosition Summary We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and provide hands-on leadership to production employees in a fast-paced industrial environment. This individual will be responsible for meeting production goals while maintaining strong standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and employee performance. The Production Supervisor will work closely with other departments to resolve production issues, improve processes, minimize downtime, and support overall plant performance. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise production employees across assigned manufacturing areas. Coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules and customer requirements. Monitor production output, quality, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and employee performance. Assign employees and resources based on production and staffing needs. Train, coach, and develop employees while promoting accountability and teamwork. Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and manufacturing standards. Identify and troubleshoot production issues and coordinate corrective actions. Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and other departments. Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and waste-reduction initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, throughput, quality, and equipment performance. Conduct shift meetings and communicate daily priorities and expectations. Maintain accurate production documentation and performance reporting. Assist with staffing, scheduling, overtime, and workforce planning. Support process improvements, equipment changes, and new manufacturing initiatives. Maintain a safe, organized, and positive manufacturing environment. Address employee performance, attendance, and policy issues when necessary. Qualifications 3+ years of manufacturing or production leadership experience. Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Lead, Production Lead, or similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, safety, quality, and production performance. Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate production employees. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement is preferred. Familiarity with production scheduling, labor planning, and manufacturing metrics. Experience with ERP/MRP or similar manufacturing systems is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Background Candidates with experience in high-volume manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, forming, finishing, or other industrial production environments are encouraged to apply. Experience with root cause analysis, quality improvement, equipment troubleshooting, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement is highly desirable.
