We are establishing operations in the USA (Clayton, NC) and are looking for a Welder Foreman to lead our welding team. The facility is under construction, with an opening date of May 2027. As a pivotal figure in our brand new fabrication facility, you will oversee daily welding operations on ASTM-compliant 304L or 316L stainless steel and ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety protocols. Your expertise in various welding techniques and mechanical fabrication will drive project success from start to finish. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase leadership skills while working on diverse and challenging projects that make a real impact. Duties Supervise and coordinate welding activities ensuring timely completion of tasks Lead a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and quality assurance throughout each project phase Ensure all welding work adheres to American Welding Society (AWS) standards, ASME codes & standards, and safety protocols Conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and other precision tools to verify weld quality Enforce safety regulations rigorously to maintain a safe working environment for all team members Coordinate with project managers and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines Maintain detailed records of welding procedures, inspection reports, and project documentation Experience Extensive knowledge of various welding techniques including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and plasma cutting Familiarity with ASME codes & standards as well as AWS standards for welding quality assurance Skilled in the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for quality control Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop processes including machining, soldering, assembly, and ductwork fabrication At Pierre Guerin USA, we believe our people are our greatest asset.
