Truss Department Foreman

Job Description

Topsider Homes (located in Clemmons, NC), designer and fabricator of high-end, custom post and beam residential homes (not mobile or modular) sold and shipped in component form worldwide since 1968, seeks a motivated individual for a Truss Department Foreman position.
TITLE:
Truss Department Foreman
COMPENSATION
From $24/hr to start, based on experience and qualifications.
REPORT TO
Manufacturing Manager
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years in woodworking job shop, truss manufacturing, timber framing or similar experience. Candidates must have expert level experience with large radio arm saws, and similar woodworking equipment, and fork lifts. Most manufacturing involves cutting and pre-drilling, and templating large glulam pine beams for post & beam roof and floor trusses. Ability to read tape measures, shop drawings and cut lists is a requirement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a stable work background, good communication skills and be good at math and paperwork - and certified (or certifiable) to operate a forklift.
WORK SCHEDULE
Normal work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, plus additional time as required to meet workload demands.
