Job Description
Job Description Sheet Metal Foreman We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead field crews and oversee the installation of commercial HVAC ductwork systems. This role is responsible for coordinating daily field operations, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and according to specifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise sheet metal installation crews on commercial HVAC projects
- Coordinate daily work activities to maintain project schedules
- Develop and manage a 3-week lookahead schedule
- Communicate schedule impacts or field issues to the Project Manager
- Coordinate with other trades to prevent conflicts and delays
- Assist with maintaining accurate as-built documentation
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience leading sheet metal or HVAC duct work installation crews
- Strong ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork systems and installation methods
Preferences:
- Experience working on large commercial mechanical projects
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians
