Fabrication Production Manager Race City Steel is seeking a strong, hands-on Fabrication Production Manager to lead daily operations across our CNC Laser, Tube Laser, Press Brake, and Welding departments. This role is responsible for driving production, improving efficiency, building workflow processes and procedures, and developing a strong fabrication team to support growth. Responsibilities Oversee daily production for CNC laser, tube laser, press brake, and welding operations Create, improve, and enforce shop workflows, procedures, and production standards Build, lead, and grow a high-performing fabrication team Manage scheduling, labor flow, and department priorities to meet deadlines Work closely with sales, operations, and purchasing to keep production moving Maintain quality, safety, and productivity throughout the shop Train, coach, and hold employees accountable to performance expectations Play a key role in hiring, firing, and developing employees within the department Identify bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement efforts across fabrication Qualifications Experience leading teams in a metal fabrication environment Strong knowledge of CNC laser, tube laser, press brake, and welding operations Ability to create structure, improve processes, and drive accountability Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to read blueprints and understand fabrication workflow Why Join Race City Steel This is a key leadership role for someone who wants to help build a stronger team, improve production systems, and make a direct impact on the growth of our fabrication operation.
