The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Production Superintendent- Night Shift to lead, coach, and inspire our production team in a fast-paced, high-volume food manufacturing environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and teamwork .
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts (6PM-6AM) | 4-5 shifts per week
- Night Shift | Weekends as needed
What You'll Do:
- Oversee all Line Supervisors and Line Associates, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, production standards, and workplace safety requirements.
- Partner with the Production Manager to develop and maintain production schedules that ensure customer orders and shipments are completed on time.
- Manage labor and material resources effectively to control waste, ensure order accuracy, and minimize quantity variances.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, waste, and overtime while maximizing operational efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety requirements, and company operating procedures.
- Conduct and oversee inventories of packaging materials, including film, corrugated materials, and finished goods.
- Ensure the consistent production of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and company standards.
- Oversee the safe handling, processing, and documentation of product rework.
- Ensure all Allergen Control programs and procedures are strictly followed.
- Ensure proper identification, segregation, documentation, investigation, and disposition of non-conforming products.
- Coordinate with Superintendents and Line Supervisors to support production requirements, staffing needs, and schedule attainment.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure finished products are stored, handled, and shipped in a safe manner while maintaining product quality.
- Monitor production performance metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee engagement throughout the production operation.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of manufacturing management experience (Food production preferred)
- Hands-on experience with food manufacturing
- Improvements as a result of 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong leadership skills
- ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Advanced problem-solving & decision-making skills
- Tech-savvy
- Familiarity with JD Edwards, SAP, IR scanner guns is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment
