Job Description

Overview The shift supervisor is responsible for supervising all machine operators in the four production departments on their shift. They plan and assign employees as needed, enforce policies and procedures, and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Responsibilities Ensuring effective employee relations. Coaching and development of employees, including the appropriate resolution of employee issues. Balancing quality, productivity, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Continuously strive to improve in all areas of production. Regularly provide progress reports to management. Aid in training and tracking the progress of new employees. Independently complete job changes as defined in production paperwork. Perform accident investigations when necessary. Track and minimize employee absenteeism. Requirements Two years of experience in a supervisory role High School Diploma Ability to stand for the length of shift Ability to lift up to 50lbs continuously. Work well as a leader in a small team environment Capable of holding operators accountable. Adherence to safety regulations (e.g., constant use of personal protective equipment) Understanding of production procedures. Report to management and other supervisors regularly, keeping them updated on production activities and progress.
Pay:
$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
