As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in providing supervision and management of plant team members in the daily attainment of scheduled production plans for our concrete pipe production processes. The Production Supervisor works together with the Plant Manager, Production Crews, QC, Sales, and Engineering to schedule and produce products to meet specifications and customer expectations. About the
Role:
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient concrete production including managing production schedules, supervising staff, developing and enforcing safety protocols. Coordinate raw material deliveries, maintain inventory, and optimize production processes. Implement and enforce quality control processes that minimize overprocessing and scrap Effective communication with team members, management, and other departments is essential for seamless plant operations. Prepare daily production reports, quality downgrade reports, downtime/efficiency reports, and other paperwork as required using Rinker required computerized forms and systems. Performing bulk and physical inventories Monitor equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues, order parts, schedule necessary preventative maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance personnel. Recruitment, interview, hire, train and supervise an adequate number of employees to meet the needs of the pipe plant operations. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree preferred. 5 years' experience in manufacturing/production strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 years of responsibility in all aspects of Safety, Production, Quality Control, Maintenance. 3-5 years' supervisory experience including team building, facilitation, mentoring and follow-through. Knowledge of production management in the concrete industry, manufacturing, or equivalent. Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to present oneself and communicate in a professional, positive, and courteous manner at all times with all levels of team members. Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others. General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems. Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions, and equipment manuals. Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic and dedication. Must have a valid drivers' license and ability to travel 5-10 percent of the time to locations and/or meetings.
