Job Description

KMM is seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead to guide a team of 5-10 operators in building mission‑critical aerospace and defense wire harness assemblies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment, models quality and professionalism, and ensures daily operational readiness. What You'll Do As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you will coordinate daily production flow, coach operators, and uphold AS9100D and
IPC/WHMA
‑A‑620 quality standards. Daily Coordination — Assign tasks, adjust workflow, and ensure materials, tools, and documentation are ready each shift. Real-Time Coaching — Support operators with technique, accuracy, and controlled-process adherence. Quality Oversight — Monitor in‑process work, escalate nonconformances, and maintain traceability and documentation accuracy. Team Communication — Relay updates, clarify instructions, and support a positive, collaborative work environment. Continuous Improvement — Identify inefficiencies, suggest workflow enhancements, and support audits and corrective actions. Safety Leadership — Enforce PPE, safety protocols, and incident reporting. Core QMS Expectations You will model AS9100D-aligned principles including Customer Focus, Leadership, Process Approach, Evidence-Based Decision Making, and Relationship Management.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Demonstrated leadership attributes (reliability, initiative, critical thinking)
Preferred:
Experience in aerospace cable/wire harness assembly Production environment experience Exposure to AS9100 or other QMS-driven environments
IPC/WHMA-A-620
certification or related technical coursework Technical & Software Skills Blueprint/drawing interpretation Electrical assembly fundamentals Proficiency with crimpers, strippers, torque tools, multimeters, etc. Microsoft Office and KMM production/QMS systems Documentation accuracy and traceability Work Environment Active manufacturing floor with standard PPE Combination of computer work and walking production areas Occasional overtime based on production needs Frequent interaction with operators, inspectors, engineers, and supervisors

Pay:
