Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Value Stream Specialist to lead a team of 25-30 people in the Microwave South factory, supporting the high-rate production of the F-35 program. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, quality, and productivity across the factory. Your expertise in value stream management, people leadership, and cross-functional collaboration will be essential in achieving our production goals.Key Responsibilities:
Value Stream Management:
Lead a team of 25-30 people to achieve production targets, quality standards, and safety goals. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall factory performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address production bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.Reporting and KPI Management:
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure factory performance, including production rates, quality metrics, and safety metrics. Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for corrective action. Present findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.People Management:
Manage a team of 25-30 people, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high-performing teams. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Address performance issues and provide constructive feedback to team members.Staffing and Resource Allocation:
Develop and manage staffing plans to ensure adequate resources to meet production demands. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members.Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members, shift leaders, and other factory support functions to ensure alignment and coordination. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality, and supply chain, to drive continuous improvement and resolve production issues.Problem-Solving and Corrective Action:
Identify and address production issues, including quality problems, safety incidents, and equipment downtime. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry. High School Diploma or GED. Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience with value stream management, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong leadership and people management skills, with ability to develop and coach team members.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with F-35 program or similar high-rate production environment. Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other relevant methodologies. Experience with factory automation, robotics, or other advanced manufacturing technologies. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, operations management, or business administration.Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
$67406- $114590 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
